Daniel Ortgiess

Daniel Ortgiess is a gold and platinum awarded producer who started his career at the age of 16 by spinning vinyl. He was one of the lucky few earning his place in the music education program at the Rock Academy (Tilburg) where he studied Sound-Engineering.

Daniel started paving his way into the beloved house scene and produced successful projects such as “We Are Loud” and received multiple awards for the global hit “Booyah” which was nominated for “Song of the Year” in 2014. Daniel also is a co- and ghost producer for different DJ Mag Top 100 artists. He has released tracks with Spinnin’, Armada, Smash The House and Sony Music a.o. and has performed underdifferent aliases at major festivals such as Dance Valley, Loveland Festival and Lowlands.

In 2018, Daniel started producing techno music under his moniker “Daniel Ortgiess”. Dark and gritty, melodic techno with a twist of tech-house and progressive trance are the staple ingredients of Daniel’s newly discovered sound. He started to release tracks on a.o. Ferry Corsten’s Flashover Recordings, Yellowheads Reload Records and Phutec’s label Layer 909.

Since mid 2021, Daniel is a member of – and has contributed his skills as ‘electronic connoisseur’ to – the rising alternative Dutch threesome “Prins S. & De Geit”, whose status skyrocketed since their online performance for the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in January 2022. Next to performing live with the band, having a rammed festival schedule in 2022, Daniel cowrites the songs for the band.
